This morning, my son and I went to Kids In Distress (KID) to bring some artwork we got as part of his Mitzvah Project. It was the finishing touch to the project. All that’s left now is the room dedication.
Over the past year, we raised money to create a library for the KID pre-school. We were able to purchase bookshelves, pillows for the kids to sit on, as well as a rug and accessories for the room. It’s taken a few months to put together, because it needed to be done in stages. The painting needed to come first, then new flooring needed to be installed. Finally, the bookshelves were assembled and anchored to the well, and books were placed within them. I’m so proud of my son for choosing such an important project, and being so selfless.
